This memorial
website was
created in the memory of our loved one,
Christina Gore who was born in North
Carolina on August 02, 1975 and went to be
with God on March 02, 2007 at the age
of 31. We will remember her forever.
Christina "Christy" was taken away
from us on March 2, 2007. She was 8
1/2 months pregnant. She was due to
bless this world with a beautiful baby
girl on March 18, 2007 but they were
horrifically taken from us in a fiery car
crash. My first neice was going to be
named Sharon Elizabeth, after the
baby's fathers mother and our mother.
My sister was an extremely lovable
person who you never saw angry or
upset. She had a smile that would light
of even the darkest of rooms. Her
outgoing personality made her hard
not to love. She was the person that no
matter what happen in your life you
could always count on her to be there
for you. She would do anything on a
dare and most things you wouldn't
even have to dare her to do. She loved
adventurous tasks. Going whitewater
rafting, skiing and camping with Ricky,
my older brother, was some of her
favorite things to do. They had a trip
for every season, no matter what the
weather they always had plans to do
something together. They weren't only
brother and sister, they were best
friends.
Christy was an amazing person. If you
met her you couldn't help yourself but
to fall in love with her. If her smile
didn't blow you away then then
personality would. She was such a
lovable person. I don't know of anyone
that she didn't get along with or anyone
who didn't like her.
Christy had many passions. She took
piano lessons for years. That song that
you're hearing now is "Fur Elise" by
Beethoven. Christy practice that song
all time. Then, I think, 3 years ago she
finally learned to play the entire song.
Everytime that she would come over to
mama and daddy's she would go to the
piano and play the beginning of the
song. I remember her practicing that
song on her keyboard and driving me
crazy because she would play it over
and over. But once she finally learned
it, she blew it away. She played the
song so well.
Christy was also attempting to finish
school to become a teacher. Attemping
I mean she went but had taken the
past 2 years off, because she said she
didn't know if that was what she really
wanted to do or not. But anyone who
knew her knew that her calling on this
earth was to be a teacher. She was so
good with kids and she loved kids so
much, even the bad ones. And the kids
loved her too. She would've made an
awesome teacher.
It's now May 2008, a little over a year since
the accident. I always knew that my parents
were superheros but this tragedy that
completely destroyed them and they still manage to be superheros. They are amazing people inside and out. I can't imagine the pain and suffering they go through emotionally everyday and they still smile, laugh, and live. I hope that just an ounce of their strength, love, and faith is in me so I can grow up to be like them. I love my parents so much and I am so proud to call them my parents, we all are.
