1975

Christy was born August 2, 1975, weighing 5 lbs and 10 ozs. She was such a tiny thing.  A wonderful, beautiful baby. She came about a month earlier then expected. Think that was the only thing she was ever early for.  She was always late for everything else. 

 
1978
Christy got a little brother, ricky.
 
1979
Christy started to preschool for 3 year olds.
 
1980
Christy was going to preschool for 4 year olds.
 
1981
Christy started to kindergarden at Asbury School. The teacher couldnt keep Christy in her seat, imagine that....
 
1982

Chrsity got a little sister, Toni

 
1983
Christy fell and broke her collarbone.. she told mom that she fell coming up the porch..But mom found out many years later she was walking on the railing of the porch. Always a daredevil..
 
1991
Christy started going to church at Long Shoals Weslyn.  She love going to church. Meet many friends. She got saved while attending there. Met a wonderful youth paster, Charlie Collins, who had a extremely  positive influence in her life.
 
1993
Christy graduated high school at Linconton High school. Christy started to work at Bojangles.  She got a cat, Fergie, which is still pestering us here.
 
1994

Christy got her first car of her own. She got a 91 esclipse. She was so proud of it.

She started dating Daniel Blackwood, who was killed with her in the car accident. They dated for many years till 2001 or so.

 
1995
Christy has been attending Gaston College off and on.. Cant make up her mind what she wants to do..
 
2000

Christy, mom, Toni and Brittney had a girls week at the beach. What a good time we had. Christy had her 25th birthday while we were there...

She came home and started a new job at Food Lion on 3rd shift working with her brother Ricky. I am sure they had many a good times there.  And met many friends, Benji is one of them. They had a very close relationship but life just kept getting in the way. I do know that Christy was the love of Benjis life.

 
2004
Christy graduated Finally from gaston college with an associate degree in arts. She is wanting to go on to Applichaian University to get her degree in elementary education. Oh she would have made a wonderful teacher
 
2004
Christy moved to Boone NC to continue her education at Applichain University. She stayed till fall and moved back to Lincolnton, Her and Daniel had gotten back together
 
2006

Christy found out she was pregnant with her first child. Oh she was so excited to have a baby, and scared at the same time. Alot of things were going on in her life. She had a lot of decisions to make.

All the family, except ricky took a vacation at the outer banks. Christy loved the beach.

We never knew that would be our last vacation.

 
February 2007

Christy had decided to leave Daniel and come back home to live with her mamaw. As she had lived with her for about a year in 2002 after papa died.

But for some reason, she was waiting on Lizzie to be born. Sharon Elizabeth, after her mom and Daniels mom. But that was never to be.

 
March 2, 2007

Passed away on March 02, 2007 at the age of 31.

Christy was killed in a firey car crash. She never knew what hit her. She was almost 9 months pregnant with Lizzie who was due March 18.  Well actually Christy had went to doctor on wednesday and he had told her any day..any day now and Lizzie would have been here. Daniel was also killed. He ran off the road and overcorrected and lost control of the car. And the oncoming car T boned christy side.

Christy is deeply missed by her family and many friends.

 
March 6, 2007

Christy was laid to rest at Forest Lawn cementary. She lies beside her grandparents. She was our angel on earth and now she is Gods angels.

God wanted Christy for his spring boquet and he wanted Lizzie for his babys breath.

Not a day goes by that she is thought of and missed deeply.
